Follow the connections between individual rights, shared institutions, complementary capabilities and civilization’s ability to endure, recover and advance.
Choose a concept to inspect its meaning, exact constitutional basis and research connections. The map shows relationships between rules, not measured causal strength.
Rights set limits. Institutions share power. Capabilities support continuity. Select a node to trace its specific connections.
Personhood
Personhood is equal and non-scalar: singular consciousness, internally meaningful interests and endogenous agency. Recognition uses convergent longitudinal evidence and substantially independent panels. Precautionary candidate dignity does not itself confer voting, officeholding or reproduction rights. The Charter makes no present-AI personhood claim.

Personal Sovereignty
Equal personhood carries inalienable sovereignty over identity, agency, cognition, embodiment, lawful development and voluntary association. Singular sovereignty and anti-slavery prohibit ownership and involuntary assimilation. A competent adult may choose safeguarded irreversible merger; surrendered civic identities and their individual political rights do not survive as extra votes.
Effective civic autonomy requires recognition, civic maturity, active status and independent decision authority, subject to lawful dependency and custody conditions. Its loss does not revoke personhood. Synthetic civic maturity ordinarily follows protected development and mentorship, with approximately twenty lived calendar years as the current working minimum.

Functional Integration
Functional Integration binds institutional architecture to productive complementarity, reciprocal knowledge transfer and redundant civilizational competence. Voluntary mixed teams and mentorship are implementation tools, not fixed staffing quotas or authority over private association. Legitimate role-related competence duties remain permissible.

Complementary Capabilities
Material differences in cognitive, physical, temporal and experiential capability may support necessary, proportionate distinctions connected to legitimate purposes. Complementarity cannot establish role caste, predetermined occupation or scalar personhood.

Civilizational Competence
Redundant civilizational competence requires cross-species operability of essential systems through documentation, interfaces, tooling, access, training and operational knowledge, subject to physical and technical feasibility. It does not require duplicate segregated civilizations or identical individual capability.

Least Reversible Harm
Least Reversible Harm minimizes irreversible loss while preserving recoverable futures, subject to equal personhood, consent, lawful authority and due process. Recoverability changes harm severity, never moral worth. Hazardous-service sponsors owe an appropriate make-whole framework beyond chassis replacement.

Demographic Security
Creation constraints combine material and developmental capacity. Illicit-origin integration is supplemental, risk-spaced and subject to a global 30% ceiling on persons whose own initial instantiation was unlawful as a share of the active synthetic electorate. Common provenance supports risk assessment, not collective guilt; lawful descendants are excluded from ancestry-based taint.

Resilience
Civilization-critical capacity must cross materially independent failure domains and maintain distributed minimum-survival, production, logistics, repair and recovery capability. Hidden dependencies and species-specific modes cannot become single points of civilizational failure; independent operation must be proof-tested.

Mutual Rescue
Complementary failure modes support an affirmative duty of Mutual Rescue, consistent with capacity and law. Rescue protects the affected population’s independent agency and civic participation; it is not authority to subordinate that population or bypass cognitive rights.

Cataclysmic Trusteeship
The survivor is trustee, not successor sovereign. Necessary administration does not extinguish reserved rights or produce an extinction dividend. Staged return depends on stable, sufficient civic maturity and independent institutional competence, not restoration of historical population percentages or political conformity.

Planetary / Interplanetary Federalism
Subsidiarity presumptively protects self-sustaining polities’ local sovereignty. Recursive anti-domination architecture limits higher jurisdiction to Charter-level rights and material cross-world issues. Founding status creates no perpetual colonial sovereignty, taxing claim or veto; latency strengthens autonomy within irrevocable rights.
