A framework that changed under criticism
How the Framework Changed
This is a source-grounded version sequence, not a reconstructed calendar chronology. The v1.2.1 source edition is dated September 2026; earlier calendar dates and some first-adoption points are unverified.
16 September 2026: readability and open-questions follow-up
This follow-up separates the homepage explanation from the logo typography, makes the mobile menu compact, adds six unresolved questions, repairs citation fallback and current-paper links, and clarifies publication history. It also narrows the cooperation claim and sets expectations for correspondence. The Charter, adopted parameters, paper 1.2 text, numerical results and fixed release files are unchanged.
16 September 2026: positioning and citation patch
Website release 11 clarifies the limited contribution claim, acknowledges additional related work and makes ordinary questions and suggestions the main contact route. Paper 1.0 was published on 14 September, paper 1.1 on 15 September, and paper 1.2 on 16 September. The preserved 1.2 manuscript retains its earlier publication-line wording; the paper reader explains the edition history. Earlier paper editions remain available. It adds visible publication dates. The homepage and origin voice, design, Charter v1.2.2, numerical results, testing caveats and paper AI disclosure remain unchanged.
15 September 2026: public explanation and paper 1.1
Website release 10 changes the public explanation and navigation. The origin story and AI-production disclosure are more direct. Paper 1.1 adds three relevant prior works, a more modest contribution claim and fuller production disclosures. It preserves the numerical argument. No new simulation campaign was run for this edition. Charter v1.2.2 remains unchanged.
Working paper 1.0 · 14 September 2026
The full scholarly working paper supersedes the earlier concise overview. This publication adds no constitutional amendment. Website release 9 makes reading modes independently readable, updates the opening message and origin account, and integrates the approved logo animation.
v1.2.2 · Publication & Advancement Clarification
Lead with the future worth building.
This edition makes complementary capability, partnership, discovery, prosperity and exploration the public starting point. It separates narrow mechanism tests from conditional civilization models, discloses AI assistance and adds the multidisciplinary agenda and canonical paper draft. It changes no constitutional provision or working threshold.
The source comparison found only edition/front-matter differences in the Constitutional Draft. Separate reporting errors—fourth versus second place, reduced-form sample labels and mixed citation editions—are flagged in the source-conflict record.

Rank-sum/Borda rejected after clone sensitivity
Clone-sensitivity findings prompted replacement of Borda/rank-sum aggregation with equal-constituency pairwise counting.
Current position and source trail
Use equal-constituency Condorcet counting with the protected Schulze/Beatpath working cycle-resolution method.

v0.9.1 stress testing → v0.9.2 open safeguard → v0.9.3 certification
Turnout staircase superseded
Selective-turnout stress exposed normalization risk; turnout scaling and the old 10%/5%/3% staircase did not provide a settled solution.
Current position and source trail
Articles XII §§3–4 provide independent impairment determination and extraordinary certification, superseding the turnout staircase.
Exact adoption date not established by the inspected records.

Compulsory ballot return rejected
Compulsory participation was rejected as an overbroad remedy for turnout-driven legitimacy risk.
Current position and source trail
Voluntary participation remains protected; impaired-election certification is an exceptional legitimacy mechanism.

v0.9.3 targeted validation addendum
Extraordinary impaired-election certification adopted
Impairment required a continuity mechanism that did not convert legislative ratification into independent presidential selection.
Current position and source trail
Certification is limited to the apparent winner with 2/3 full House and 83% overall / 67% each Senate delegation; failure requires a new election.

Near-unanimous personhood panels rejected
Near-unanimous panel thresholds increased modeled false negatives under assumed evaluator sensitivities.
Current position and source trail
Retain 12/15, two affirmative panels with a third upon split, and explicit epistemic diversity and independent evidence acquisition.

Guardian correlation risk made explicit
Correlated compromise materially weakened the independent-node results for recovery quorums.
Current position and source trail
Retain the provisional 4-of-7 default, material independence and separation of identity, content and recovery authority; formal specifications remain deferred.

Per-cohort caps replaced by a global aggregate ceiling
Per-linked-cohort limits were vulnerable to split-provenance evasion.

Symmetric House review trigger added
Constructed cases exposed the asymmetry of an overrepresentation-only review trigger.

Functional Integration elevated
Political integration without reciprocal competence and useful collaboration was judged insufficient against durable bifurcation.
Current position and source trail
Functional Integration is protected doctrine; v1.2.1 explicitly prioritizes productive complementarity and redundant civilizational competence.

Mutual Preservation and Trusteeship strengthened
Cataclysmic absence creates a concurrence discontinuity; return design must avoid premature handover and indefinite trustee retention.

Complementary Capabilities clarification
The clarification prioritizes complementarity and redundant competence, treats cohesion as secondary, and expressly rejects private social engineering and species-role caste.
Current position and source trail
Institutional capability and continuity standards do not authorize compelled private association, occupation or symbolic staffing quotas.

Website release 9 · 14 September 2026
Expanded guided reading, connected concepts, constitutional walkthroughs, transparent model inspection, critical review and source access without changing the Charter.
Website release 6 · 14 September 2026
Added persistent Plain English and Technical reading modes, shared concept records and explanations alongside unchanged constitutional text.
Website release 5 · 14 September 2026
Project email is operational following owner-confirmed sending, receiving and monitored forwarding tests. Removed mailbox setup notices. The sole contact remains review@enduringpulse.org.
Website release 4 · 14 September 2026
Contact and canonical-domain setup were being prepared in this historical release. Mail delivery verification was pending then. Later releases record the confirmed current contact details.
Website release 3 · 14 September 2026
Restored and reproduced the long-horizon campaign; corrected the six fourth-place results; clarified reduced-form counts; added code/data and source errata; prepared enduringpulse.org and project email; retained the then-current v1.2.1 Charter wording. DNS activation and mailbox delivery were configuration items at that release; email delivery is resolved in release 5.
Website release 2 · historical
Added bounded citation verification, concise constitutional deep links, dated PDFs and checksums. Its missing-archive and missing-contact statements described the evidence available then. They are superseded by release 3. The old source snapshot and download index have been withdrawn to remove obsolete account-identifying references; other historical artifacts remain with their original hashes.
